Geek+ partners with Starlinks to automate new facility in Saudi Arabia

Starlinks, a logistics and supply chain solutions provider in Saudi Arabia, has entered into a strategic partnership with autonomous mobile robot (AMR) specialist Geek+ to introduce over 250 AMRs in its new 400,000ft² fulfilment centre.

The company opened its latest facility in January. Located within Riyadh Logistics Park in the country’s capital, the facility is Starlinks’ first robotic fulfilment centre in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on the use of robotics within the new facility, Salah Taha, Director of Operations at Starlinks, said: “We are committed to driving further innovation in the logistics and supply chain industry in the region and reducing lead time to e-commerce shoppers.”

Geek+ is providing Starlinks with a warehouse solution that is comprised of its P40 picking robot, its S20C sorting robot, and its RS8 RoboShuttle. The robots will be used for both goods-to-person picking and order sorting, with Geek+ expecting that this will allow a monthly average of 3.6 million orders to be processed at the fulfilment centre.
