Gefco buys load-matching company

Gefco has acquired Chronotruck, the company behind a digital platform that connects shippers and carriers.

Since its launch in 2016, Chronotruck has served more than 9,000 customers.

It offers shippers access to nearby carriers and a portfolio of digitalised services, including an instant quotation system, geotracking, proof of delivery and e-invoicing.

Carriers can optimise flows by taking nearby loads to ensure trucks can run at full capacity.

Gefco chief executive Luc Nadal said: “Chronotruck’s expertise will help us achieve a step change in our customer processes and improve their experience through digitalisation. Our partnership will also help reduce our environmental footprint to ensure that trucks are operating at full capacity.”
