Girteka Logistics breaks the sonic barrier
Girteka Logistics, one of Europe’s largest road transport companies, sent its truck # 4,000 on the road this week. Donatas Načajus, Chief Transport Officer inaugurated the truck before sending it on its first safe and on time delivery for the Christmas season.
“Now having 4,000 trucks and 4,300 trailers in our fleet at Girteka Logistics showcases how we have dedicated our entire company for long term partnerships with our clients,” says Donatas Načajus, Chief Transport Officer. The company now has the largest FTL long haul fleet in Europe.
This milestone event was a great way for the company to complete an extraordinary strong year. Girteka Logistics has grown significantly during the last 10 years, did so with +30% organic growth for the year 2017.
“Girteka Logistics truck #4,000 is a VOLVO FH540 with a Volvo 13-litre engine, Globetrotter cab, I-Shift automated gearbox with Fuel and Economy software package, Driver Alert system and I-See predictive cruise control,” states Mindaugas Paulauskas, Head of Transport.
