Hamburg Süd wins “Electrolux Supplier Award 2014”
Electrolux, manufacturer of household and kitchen appliances, profits from the high service degree of Hamburg Süd for its deliveries to Latin America
Hamburg Süd has been honoured with the “Electrolux Supplier Award 2014” in the category “Global Logistics”. The shipping company Hamburg Süd was awarded top marks in quality of service, on-time delivery, performance, cost competitiveness and sustainability practices.
Electrolux is one of the leading manufacturers of household and kitchen appliances worldwide. “With our very strong focus on Latin America, Hamburg Süd has developed into a vital component of our global supply chain, and one we have come to rely on increasingly strongly over the years,” declared Bjorn Vang Jensen, Vice President Global Logistics for Electrolux, at the award ceremony.
The presentation of the prize was held at Electrolux AB’s headquarters in Stockholm in mid-November. Dr Ottmar Gast, Chairman of the Executive Board of Hamburg Süd, and Philip Oetker, General Manager Commercial Region Europe, accepted the award on behalf of Hamburg Süd.
Philip Oetker stated: “As one of the global core carriers for Electrolux, we are delighted with this award. It is the validation of our efforts to provide Electrolux the best-possible service at all times. We have an outstanding position for Electrolux on the trade lanes from Asia to Latin America, among others.”
