Honold Logistik Group clearly in the black

Honold Logistik Group profits from new customers and strict cost control in 2009

Honold Logistik Gruppe (Augsburg) has managed the 2009 business year better than expected. Thanks to a strict cost control combined with anticyclical investments the logistics company was clearly in the black in all its business segments. Compared on 2008 turnover was down 7 per cent. The business segments Logistik Automotive and Aerospace & Defense has won new customers like BMW and thus had an increase in turnover of 8 per cent. Considering the difficult conditions it was a satisfying result. The group came out stronger from the crisis, than they had been before, the managing partner Matthias Honold draws a positive outline. For 2010 he expects a clear plus in turnover, born by new buildings in Neu-Ulm and Augsburg.

Honold Logistik employs about 1,250 persons at 22 locations in Germany, Romania, Russia and China. Facilities of more than 750,000 sq. m. are available for logistics business and activities in the field of network systems. The private enterprise presents itself as a fast-growing logistics enterprise. This is documented by a new building with 15,000 sq. m. covered area in Neu-Ulm, which is planned to be completed by the end of 2010.
