How smart lockers intelligently control valuable equipment
Traka is exhibiting at IntraLogisteX 2022 to present its intelligent locker systems together with essential asset management solutions. “Our aim is to showcase how customers can establish full control and accountability in logistics and supply chain management,” reveals Lee Payne, Market Development Manager.
Visitors to the stand will be able to see how Traka’s specialist lockers systems, including the new TUK24 solution, can be tailored towards customer needs to secure a wide variety of equipment. This includes scanners used at distribution centres, PDAs and tablets, all while enabling full charging facilities, smart detection and secure storage.
Traka will also be presenting its powerful, latest-generation TrakaWEB software and its ability to offer remote administration, including fault-logging, item transfer, fleet management and full audit control capability.
Products on display include Traka’s specialist modular lockers. These bespoke lockers are testament to Traka’s dedication to sector specific designs, presenting a framework adaptable to suit the needs of any organisation.
Traka will also be demonstrating its scalable L-Touch key management solution, to offer simple ways to control keys and manage different facilities, including full and compliant audit trail capability of keys and users.
“Our aim really with our complete product portfolio is to ensure we are constantly working to enhance asset management,” adds Payne. “This is through technically developing our products from an innovative smart technology perspective to ensure we can assist our customers and provide efficient and seamless operations.”
Traka works closely with High Street favourite, Primark, where a key part of the strategy is the fast and efficient distribution of goods to store to meet customer demands. This is a complex operation involving the use of a wide range of technology. “As the international ‘hero of the High Street’, Primark uses Traka’s intelligent management solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and safety across its warehouse and distribution centres,” reveals Payne.
“To ensure effective turnaround times, Traka’s multifunctional DockSafe dock door solution was installed to stop vehicles prematurely leaving goods-out bays, alongside intelligent key management systems.”
Technology plays a key role in the sector moving forward, Payne suggests, to ensure that businesses continue to develop and meet consumer demands in innovative and efficient ways. “Companies that have embraced the ideals of asset management can instantly optimise performance, control and monitor all physical processes and reduce the likelihood of human error,” he adds. “This all enables maximum efficiency and quicker response times, as key elements in enabling greater and fluid movement despite the difficult and restrictive pandemic conditions.
