Inaugurial landing of LOT’s Dreamliner at Vienna Airport

LOT Polish Airlines’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner landed in Vienna for the first time on 17 December 2012

Premiere at the Vienna International Airport: On Monday the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner jet has landed. LOT Polish Airlines is using this state-of-the-art passenger jet in a regular service on the Warsaw-Vienna route. The Dreamliner landed in Austria’s capital at 9.00 am, returning to Warsaw after a short stay.

LOT Polish Airlines is the first European carrier to use Dreamliner jets. Starting in early 2013, the new flagship of the American producer Boeing will be used regularly on LOT’s long-haul flights from Warsaw to North America and Asia. Meanwhile the jet will be used for short distance flights in Europe. Until 13 January the jet will be operated on nine rotations between Vienna and Warsaw.

LOT Polish Airlines was established in 1929 and is one of the most traditional airlines. Their current flight network covers more than 50 destinations in Europe, the Near and Middle East, Asia and North America. The airline operates up to two daily flights from Vienna to Krakow and Warsaw.
