Jettainer opens JettHub at the Frankfurt airport

State-of-the-art logistics centre for ULDs (Unit Load Devices) in Frankfurt/Main includes onsite repair shop by Deufol Airport Services

Jettainer, the leading international service partner for outsourced ULD (Unit Load Devices) management in the aviation sector, has inaugurated its expanded logistics centre at the airport of Frankfurt/Main last week.

All resources are now provided at the so-called JettHub FRA, ensuring efficient handling, maintenance and repair services for Jettainer’s ULDs at Germany’s largest air traffic hub. Around 750,000 units a year can be moved at the 17,000m² site.

JettHub can host up to 9,000 containers and pallets at the same time. It is directly linked to the apron by a 24/7 security gate. To manage stocks efficiently and transparently, Jettainer has developed its own software, which is directly connected to the company’s IT platform. The modern logistics centre is operated by handling counts GmbH, a 100-percent subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo AG.

Another onsite key partner is Deufol Airport Services, an aeronautical company that has moved into the JettHub as part of its close cooperation with Jettainer: it will assume servicing and repair of containers and

pallets on behalf of the loading equipment professional.Deufol Airport Services is the first company to be awarded the title “Certified Repair Partner” by Jettainer.
