Korean Air Cargo still trusts LUG aircargo handling

About 60,0000 tonnes of air cargo per year: Korean Air Cargo signs contract extension with LUG aircargo handling in Frankfurt/Main

Korean Air Cargo, South Korea’s leading cargo airline and a member of the SkyTeam Cargo Alliance, has extended its cooperation with LUG aircargo handling at Frankfurt Airport for a further five years to 2019. The contract has been signed in Seoul recently. LUG has handled freight for passenger and all-cargo aircrafts as well as road feeder services on behalf of Korean Air Cargo for 17 years by now. This successful balance makes the airline the longest regular customer of LUG.

“We are delighted to continue serving Korean Air Cargo and celebrate the 20th anniversary of our cooperation in 2017”, says Patrik Tschirch, Managing Director, LUG aircargo handling GmbH.

Korean Air Cargo’s network spans over five continents. The airline connects Germany’s biggest freight airport, Frankfurt/Main, and Korea’s capital airport, Incheon International. They offer seven passenger flights and up to nine cargo flights per week from/to Frankfurt-Main. LUG handles about 60,000 of air freight annually on behalf of Korean Air Cargo in Frankfurt.

“Operational and innovative excellence as well as a very high safety-standard are the foundation stones of Korean Air’s high reputation world wide. LUG aircargo handling matches our dedicated demands and expectations with highly trained staff, leading edge IT systems, and well-defined processes. Together we provide premium logistics solutions tailored to the demands of customers in Germany and Europe,” said Yoon Wook Yoo, General Manager and Regional Manager Frankfurt of Korean Air Cargo.
