Logwin gains fashion label Anjara Garcia as new customer
Anjara Garcia charges Logwin with the organisation of international procurement and distribution logistics:
Gaining a new Spanish customer Logwin AG consolidates its position as a leading provider of logistics solutions for the fashion industry. Logwin organizes international procurement and distribution logistics for the designer label Anjara García since recently.
The logistics service provider collects the women’s fashion articles from the production facilities in China and bundles the goods in its warehouse in Shanghai before transporting them by sea and air freight to Spain. The very first shipment consisted of 18,000 garments. The goods are then stored temporarily at Logwin’s Madrid location before being picked. Logwin finally distributes the fashion articles via its textile logistics network all over Europe. Customers in North America are served by air freight via a network of partners.
“Our long-standing experience in the fashion field is of great advantage for the fashion producer,” says Joachim Hesse, Country Director of Logwin’s national company in Spain. “We use our logistics network to map the entire supply chain.”
As an external partner, Logwin AG based in Grevenmacher (Luxembourg), develops a comprehensive range of logistics and service solutions for trade and industry. The services are divided into two business segments: Solutions (customer-focused contract logistics solutions) and Air + Ocean (global air and sea freight activities). In 2010 the group generated sales of EUR 1.4 billion and currently employs approximately 5,900 staff.
