Metrans increases safety on trains to/from Istanbul

By using special “high security locks” Metrans offers higher security on their intermodal rail services to and from Turkey

Metrans is launching new higher security measure on our trains from/to Turkey by using special “high security locks”, additionally to the high security seals, on all transported units beginning this week (departure from Dunajska Streda on 25th of February).

“This measure is a reaction to serve higher security on our trains. We would like to emphasize that these new locks will be offered free of charge and will be used automatically on all box containers between terminals Dunajska Streda and Cerkezkoy,” the company announces.

Metrans provides high-frequency rail links for the successfully exporting national economies of Central Europe to and from the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Rotterdam. Using its inland terminals, own locomotives and special container cars, the company operates high performance hub-and-shuttle systems. Also incorporated in this intermodal network are the ports of the Northern Adriatic and Istanbul.
