Mondi Tire Kutsan received and award at 2012 Crescent and Stars for Packaging competition

In the third Crescent and Stars for Packaging competition organised by the Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD), Mondi Tire Kutsan has received an award in the Competence 2012 category for three of its corrugated packaging solutions.
 
Mondi Tire Kutsan, one of the leading suppliers to the corrugated packaging industry in Turkey, has received an award for the three designs it submitted in the Competence 2012 category of the Crescent and Stars for Packaging competition, namely Rumeli Box, Balım Stand and Choco-Energic Display.

One hundred and seventy projects entered this year’s Crescent and Stars for Packaging competition. The prize-winning Rumeli Box, Balım Stand and Choco-Energic Display are shelf-ready packaging solutions.
 
The Rumeli Box ensures product visibility on the shelf at all times, even if there is only one product left in the box. It consists of an easy-to-install cover and a case with a built-in separator. The innovative design saves materials by using various material thicknesses that serve several functions at the same time.
 
Balım Stand is a display stand for cylindrical products. It comprises a single unit in the form of a triangle and makes the best possible use of the material through efficient base placement using the nesting technique. An attractive continuous display can be built by banding together several Balım stands.
 
Choco-Energic Display consists of a case and a lid. Both automatic and manual loading is possible. An effective display is created simply by opening the box. Perforations ensure clean opening without any damage.
 
The Competence 2012 winners are now taking part in a second assessment consisting of 12 categories. The gold, silver and bronze prize-winners will be announced at an award ceremony to be held in Istanbul on September 3rd.  
 
As an award-winner, Mondi Tire Kutsan has been invited to participate in the World Star Packaging Challenge organised by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
