Nelson chooses new Volvo car transporter

Nelson Car Transport has chosen a Volvo FM-500 six by two rigid car transporter.

The new addition includes Volvo’s factory fitted ‘Lite’ pushed-axle, which helps increase payload figures on a wide number of chassis applications. The transporter comes fitted with 17.5-inch wheels, 245/70 tyres, and has a 13-litre D13K engine in 500hp trim

Chris Nelson, Nelson Car Transport, said: “We average about 3,000 kilometres per week and, so far, the new FM is doing very well, just like the previous Volvo delivered last year. Despite us requiring a low flat roof, the FM cab is extremely comfortable and a good place to work or live in.”
