New managing director for Linde

Linde Material Handling has appointed Max Sammartano general manager of the Northern Europe and South Africa region, including the UK, Scandinavia and Sub-Saharan Africa markets with effect from 1st July 2017.

He succeeds Kerry McDonagh who is retiring following ten years’ service.

Sammartano joined Kion in July 2010 and transferred to Linde Material Handling in December 2011 where he has held a number of senior management roles, most recently vice president of sales and service marketing and operations.

He said: “The strength of our network and the engagement of our people with a strong customer-orientation will help us to reinforce our market leadership position and provide a solid foundation for future success. Linde’s core proposition is understanding and meeting our customer’s needs now and in the future and using all my experience and insights from my previous role in the service business I will be focused on developing this further.”
