PAQR BK – Loading of beer-barrels fast, without mistakes, with no physical load

Manual piling up beer barrels from a pallet into a container or trailer is a very heavy burden for the employees. Many hands are needed, much time is spent and the risk on physical complaints is large. Moreover the barrels are this way piled vertically in the container, which does not help. To reach an optimal loading situation the barrels should be loaded lying flat. That is now possible and simple!

TEUN has acquired fame with the PIQR transport and logistics with a revolutionary solution to discharge containers without applying human effort. With a robot, controlled by an ingenious vision-system, floor loaded boxes are thus removed without errors and rapidly from a container and stacked on pallets ready for further processing. The inverse is now also possible with the PAQR: the cargo is then loaded by an adapted machine to efficiently load the container.

For the complex problems provoked by loading and unloading  of beer barrels there is now a special version of PAQR, that makes it possible to optimally load the barrels in the containers without application of human effort.

Tailored solution
The gripper of the PAQR BK has been prepared to deal with possible deviations and existing damages to the barrels. The gripper removes the barrel from the pallet and loads them in the container, according to the loading pattern, that has been defined in advance by the brewery barrels of 20, 30 – and 50-liter can be processed this way.

Working method
For loading of standard sea containers PAQR BK uses the in-house developed Position Measurement System. PAQR BK can move by means of a wireless control panel within the warehouse. The omnidirectional wheels ensure a large flexibility. All collected data can be fed straight into an existing WMS-system. A typical 20 feet container can be loaded in approximately 90 minutes with 320  barrels of 50-liter. The in- and out-feed of the pallets can be looked after by a forklift driver.
