Pets at Home picks Cartwright for special trailers

Retailer Pets At Home has chosen Cartwright to supply a number of semi-trailers with an overall height of four metres to solve a problem with bridge access in the south east.

Instead of the double-deck step-frame curtainsiders it usually orders, for this particular operation is needed straight frame tri-axle 4m high curtainsiders.

It also ordered an urban tandem axle box van with rear steer from Cartwright specifically for delivery of products from its RDCs into its high street stores. The company recently acquired a number of smaller non-retail park stores and this new trailer offers the manoeuvrability that the company needs to take their products into the high street.

Fleet and compliance manager Campbell Baxter said: “We are very pleased with these latest trailers from Cartwright and particularly because they give Pets at Home the flexibility to access smaller, non-retail park locations.”
