Pharmacy hub under construction

Construction has started on a medical distribution centre in Wakefield that will supply the NHS and pharmacies across the North east and Yorkshire region.

The 260,000ft2 facility is being built by GMI Construction Group on behalf of developer HBD and Yorkcourt for healthcare services and products supplier Phoenix Group. It is thought the development could provide up to 300 jobs.

Wakefield Hub is being developed in a joint venture by HBD and Yorkcourt and, spanning 200-acres.
