Planning permission granted for new West London logistics hub

GLi has been granted planning permission for a second logistics site in Park Royal, West London.

A joint venture between asset management companies PATRIZIA and KSP, GLi is building a portfolio of urban logistics warehouses. In addition to the Park Royal sites, it is developing warehouses in Croydon, Mitcham, and Enfield.

PR2 will be a 76,911ft² logistics hub which GLi claims “will be highly energy-efficient and redeveloped on a net zero carbon basis with sustainability a key priority”. It is set to be 100% electric-powered, with sustainability features including rainwater harvesting, biodiverse landscaping, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

Luke LeBrun, Director of Asset Management at PATRIZIA, explained: “In order to meet the challenges posed by rapid urbanisation and the demand to decarbonise, we must deliver logistics assets that truly place sustainability at their heart.”

GLi’s first property in Park Royal, PR1, has been pre-let to food supplier Classic Fine Foods.
