Planning submitted for massive East Midlands shed

A planning application for a massive speculatively developed warehouse has been submitted in the East Midlands.

Joint venture partners, Richardsons Capital and Thorngrove Land & Property are proposing a detailed planning for a speculative 261,000 sq ft high-bay distribution warehouse on the South Normanton Industrial Estate in Derbyshire, which they intend to develop speculatively.

The property, known as  “Nickel 28”, has been designed by AEW Architects, and will provide a state of the art warehouse/distribution facility and associated office accommodation, benefitting from a large 50m yard, generous lorry parking facilities, 24 dock loading doors, a secure gatehouse and double stacking entrance road.

The scheme will be situated on High View Road in the heart of South Normanton Industrial Estate, which is already home to a number of high profile occupiers including XPO Logistics, Alliance Healthcare, Synseal and Diversity. It is less than one mile from junction 28 of the M1 motorway.
