Raben Group establishes new logistics facility in Poland

Raben Group opens new location with 2,335 m² throughput and logistics area in Szczecin with ideal links to Western Europe

At the start of this month the Raben Group has opened a new logistics centre in Szczecin, northern Poland. At the 2,335 m² throughput and logistics area the enterprise offers a wide range of transport and logistics services for international and national road transport, also including Fresh Logistics – the transport and handling of fresh goods, requiring controlled temperature from +2 to +6 C. Furthermore, the portfolio covers contract logistics, sea container loading and unloading.

The location in northern Poland offers access to sea and river ports and hence good conditions for transportations to Western Europe.  ”In the region of Szczecin there is a visible increase of economic activity which is a result of the city’s vicinity to the German border and Scandinavia,” comments Janusz Anioł, General Director of Raben Polska.

The new building replaces the facility operated since 1999. Moreover the new complex is equipped with a three-storey office building of the area of 715 m2, and over 1,000 m2  of pavements and parking lots for cars. The investment totals more than EUR 2.5 million and will create 50 jobs people and over 70 subcontractors.

Raben Group offers logistics services in the segments national distribution, international distribution, sea and air freight transport as well as intermodal transport. Their 8,000 employees operate a total warehouse area of about 1,000,000 m² at the company’s own locations in 10 European countries.

Fresh Logistics provides logistics solutions for fresh products requiring controlled temperature from +2 to +6 C. The group offers national and international distribution as well as comprehensive logistics solutions for fresh products.
