Rail Logistics: “The wire rope act” of the Rail Cargo Group
The Rail Cargo Group is continuing its cooperation with the Europe-wide renowned Circus Roncalli. The German circus company celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and relies on the support of the freight transport division of the Austrian Federal Railways during its anniversary tour.
“40 Years of Journey to the Rainbow” is the motto under which performances will take place in Ludwigsburg, Linz, Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck. Circus Roncalli is one of the few last circus and showman companies that relies on the railway for its logistics. For the first time, the Rail Cargo Group is also responsible for the handling of transports within Germany.
Under the leadership of Rail Cargo Logistics – Germany GmbH, 50 two-axle flat wagons will be provided for transport between the various venues for the entire duration of the multi-month anniversary tour. Circus and show carts, various equipment such as fences and tarpaulins as well as small vehicles with a total weight of up to 1200 tonnes are transported on a 700 meters block train. The customer of Rail Cargo Logistics – Germany GmbH is Transa Spedition GmbH, which in turn is a service provider of Circus Roncalli GmbH.
