Manchester-based fashion supplier Americana extended its contract with Logwin ahead of time in February 2011 until mid-2015.

Since the cooperation began three years ago, Logwin has increased the warehouse space dedicated to the fashion customer from 3,500 m² to 18,000 m², and started deliveries to additional European countries.

Logwin has been organising warehousing for the fashion products at its site in Nuremberg since end-2008, and also provides a number of value-added services and subsequent distribution.

The increase in warehousing space is due to growing international demand. Logwin initially supplied retailers throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands from Nuremberg. In January 2010, Scandinavia, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, France, Spain and Portugal were added.

Now the Logwin warehouse has developed into a central point of distribution for continental Europe, picking, packing and shipping around 50,000 articles every day during peak periods.

Under the direction of the M&S‘ regional sourcing hub, Kerry Logistics manages M&S’s inbound and outbound supply chains and a wide range of value-added services including packing and unpacking, re-labelling and steaming.

In order for Kerry Logistics to align with M&S’s eco and ethical policy – Plan A, the HKRDC is located within Kerry Logistics‘ Product Customisation & Consolidation Centre (PC3) in Tai Po, Hong Kong. With the aim to be LEED (Gold) and HK-BEAM (Gold) compliant, this purpose-built facility has incorporated green technology into the design and construction of the building.

The 25,700 m² PC3 is equipped with a Garment-On-Hanger (GOH) Centre – the largest facility of its kind in Hong Kong in terms of scale and capacity.
