Schachinger’s fork lifts are driving with environmentally friendly energy
Schachinger Logistik Holding GmbH has basically optimised the processes at its site in Stockerau, Lower Austria: The service provider is now producing its own energy using a photovoltaic system and technology by Fronius. At the same time the innovative battery charging devices of the Austrian technology leader allow Schachinger to charge its fleet of electronically driven fork-lifts in a very economical way. The logistics site in Stockerau, like all sites of the enterprise, is supplied with 100 percent certified ecological energy, which is among other produced by the photovoltaic system mounted on the roof of the building.
The Austrian family enterprise offers industry-specific full-range logistics solutions – and under its brand “Schachinger marken & frische“ also for the food industry. The service provider offers transport and storage of cool (two to six degree Celsius) and temperature controlled goods (ten to 18 degree Celsius), ranging from production to goods storage, picking and delivery to the retailer. In Stockerau, close to Vienna, Schachinger operates an about 17,000 m² state-of-the-art logistics facility, providing two temperature zones with space for about 25,000 pallets. From there the company supplies customers all over Austria, Central and Eastern Europe.
