Simarco implements SnapFulfil WMS in Stoke-on-Trent warehouse

Logistics and freight company Simarco has introduced a warehouse management system (WMS) from SnapFulfil in its new 108,000ft² warehouse in Stoke-on-Trent.

Simarco operates in the UK, across Europe, and along international trade routes. Its services include air, ocean, and road transportation as well as warehousing solutions.

The system was implemented over 50 days, with the official go-live having taken place in March.

Following successful implementation in Stoke-on-Trent, Simarco plans to begin the onboarding process for the WMS in two more of its distribution centres over the summer. The SnapFulfil WMS will be implemented in its distribution centre in Wiltham, Essex and its mainland Europe facility in the Netherlands.

Richard Bartram, Head of UK Implementations for SnapFulfil, explained that his team were “able to create some bespoke integration for [Simarco’s] main customer and so all orders (and associated data) for the three sites utilise the same API securely and consistently”.

Steve Pyne, Head of Warehousing at Simarco, has noticed improvements with the WMS, saying: “Simplification of our processes and invoicing also means staff get to concentrate more on managing and improving the customer experience.”

He continued: “SnapFulfil is a very flexible and responsive system and our first clients onboarded are already appreciating the scheduled reports, ERP-like functionality, and online access to their stock.

“Having a UK-based support team was also a key factor for us, as our previous legacy WMS was based in Australia. It was clunky and slow too, plus cloud-based SnapFulfil contributes greatly to our sustainability plan for going paperless”.
