Spanish group to buy Constructor storage businesses

Spanish Group Gonvarri Steel Services is to buy most of Constructor’s storage equipment businesses from Scandinavian equity fund Altor Fund.

Constructor has a turnover of some €237 million, 1,100 employees and manufacturing facilities in Russia, Romania, Netherlands and Germany.

The brands covered by the deal include Constructor, Constructor Logistics, Kasten, Dexion and PSS. The Bruynzeel brand is not part of the deal.

Madrid-based Gonvarri Steel Services has 36 steel service centres. In 2016 its revenue was €2,325m. Chief executive Josu Calvo said: “We are happy to welcome Constructor Group to Gonvarri Steel Services. This acquisition is a perfect fit for us, it broadens our offering further and we look forward to further growing and developing Constructor’s business.”
