Start-ups and SMEs to take centre stage at the Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition in 2024

A new area has been added to the Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition in 2024, which will highlight innovation from start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in improving sustainability within the supply chain.

In the centre of Hall 7 at the NEC, Birmingham, a new ‘Start-up Hub’ will give new and smaller businesses the opportunity to showcase the revolutionary solutions and services that will help businesses in their efforts to meet sustainability goals.

This pioneering initiative focuses on pivotal sectors like technology, finance, logistics, last-mile transport and packaging – all crucial components of the supply chain ecosystem. Smaller businesses doing big things will have the chance to share the floor with major players in the supply chain and share their work with over 8,000 visitors.

As well as developments in sustainable delivery and materials, the ‘Start-up Hub’ will shine a light on new systems to improve traceability.

Measuring and reporting scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions has increasingly become a priority for businesses, and will continue to be a priority for the foreseeable future. Therefore, the chance for visitors to find out how the work of lesser-known companies could improve these processes will be invaluable.
