TFG Transfracht to serve the Czech Republic from September
TFG Transfracht and Kombiverkehr connect their maritime and continental transport services from Hamburg to Lovosice
TFG Transfracht is adding transport services from the German seaports to the Czech Republic to its service range this September. Thus the company of the DB Mobility Logistics AG is adding another country to the network, which has been covering Austria, Germany, and Switzerland so far.
The joint concept is based on the existing product of the two operators Kombiverkehr and Bohemiakombi, which had been implemented with the Intermodal segment of DB Schenker Rail and connects Hamburg-Billwerder and Lovosice (Prague) through a rail shuttle. Kombiverkehr offers also gateway connections from Hamburg-Billwerder to Skandinavia. The new production concepts includes also a link to Hamburg-Waltershof, connecting continental and maritime transport.
The cooperation of TFG and Kombiverkehr upgrades the existing three weekly departures from Hamburg-Billwerder to five. The first maritime train on the Hamburg/Waltershof – Lovosice route and v.v. takes 14 hours and will start on September 2, also with five weekly departures.

Thanks to its location and storage capacity the terminal in Lovosice has become a hub with great development potential for forwarders in the northern Czech Republic. “This increased frequency gives our customers more flexibility on this major route. In addition we can better respond to changes in volume flows in the future“, says Robert Breuhahn, managing director, Kombiverkehr.
