Track Tec Group Purchases 100% Shares in KolTram

Track Tec S.A. Group purchased 100% shares in KolTram sp. z o.o. for the price of 25 million euro.

KolTram sp. z o.o. is the leading manufacturer of railway turnouts on the Polish market. It sells its products in Germany, France and other European countries as well. Last year, the company’s sales reached the level exceeding PLN 16 million euro. KolTram is the oldest railway turnouts manufacturer in Poland, with 130 years of history in producing these materials in our country.

Track Tec S.A., the purchaser of 100% shares in KolTram, specializes in prestressed reinforced concrete sleepers production. Mr Jarosław Pawluk. For over 50 years of the operation, Track Tec has manufactured and delivered in total over 24 million items of sleepers and switch sleepers. In 2010, under the brand name Track Tec, two prestressed reinforced concrete sleepers plants were merged: Kolbet of Suwałki and Wytwórnia Podkładów Strunobetonowych (Prestressed Reinforced Concrete Sleepers Plant) in Goczałków. Currently, the company employs over 500 persons, including KolTram employees.

Jarosław Pawluk, who owns 60% of the shares of Track Tec S.A, controls the company. His educational background is chemistry. In 1992, he established Chem Trans Logistics, a forwarding company, which became the largest Polish private cargo railway. The most important of his transaction was the selling of 75% shares in CTL Logistics to the British Bridgepoint private equity fund in 2008.
