Two operators take space at Knowsley

Two logistics companies have snapped up space at Trio on Knowsley Industrial Park in the North West this week.

Hermes has taken a 47,000 sq ft unit while PDS Direct has taken a 68,000 sq ft unit. Both companies have signed up for 10 year leases.

Howard George of B8 Real Estate who acted jointly with JLL said: “Both companies are new to the area and will be making significant investment. PDS have relocated from Wigan. Hermes have opened a new parcel distribution centre to cover the Liverpool City Region”.

“Companies servicing Internet and e-commerce based business are increasing their presence in the area and we also have companies such as DPD looking for space in the region.“

The companies said Mr George are typically looking for facilities between 35,000 – 70,000 sq ft.

Only Unit 2 totalling 43,535 sq ft remains at Trio and the landlord Zurich Assurance will shortly be commencing a refurbishment of this unit.

PDS were advised by Savills. Hermes were represented by their in-house property team. JLL and B8 Real Estate advised Zurich Assurance.
