VTG’s rail company Bräunert changes its name to Retrack

From now on, the railway company of VTG operates under the name Retrack. The new company Retrack GmbH & Co. KG, based in Hamburg, is a wholly owned subsidiary of VTG Rail Logistics. The company was created following the renaming of Bräunert Verwaltung GmbH and Bräunert Eisenbahnverkehr GmbH & Co. KG.

The renaming shall take account of Retrack’s strong presence in the market, said Günther J. Ferk, Managing Director of VTG Rail Logistics. The Retrack network connects the most important economic centers in Europe. Thanks to its own fleet of locomotives, consisting of electric and diesel locomotives, VTG rail logistics can offer freight transportation flexibly in single wagons, wagon groups or block trains in its network.

Following a successfully conducted audit by TÜV Rheinland, VTG Rail Logistics is now certified as waste management specialist and carrier of hazardous waste in accordance with the EfbV in Germany

VTG Aktiengesellschaft is by its own account Europe’s leading wagon hire and rail logistics companies, with a fleet consisting of more than 80,000 railcars. In addition to the hiring of wagons, the group offers comprehensive multi-modal logistics services, and global tank container transports. The group’s customers include numerous well-known companies from almost every industrial sector, for example the chemical, petroleum, automotive, paper and agricultural industries. In the financial year 2016, VTG, which has its head office in Hamburg and 1,443 employees worldwide, generated revenue of EUR 987.
