Rail Cargo Hungaria: Successfully closed sugar beet campaign

More than 650,000 tons of sugar beet in a campaign:   Rail Cargo Hungaria has accomplished more challenges than ever before

In a campaign that lasted 123 days from 8 September 2014, Magyar Cukor Zrt. commissioned Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. to transport more than 650 thousand tons of sugar beet. The campaign ended on 8 January 2015.

During the campaign, the company faced more challenges than ever before – rains, track closures and accidents – but due to a well-prepared and coordinated team work, the company was able to effectively manage the situations.

An important development of the sugar beet campaign is that Magyar Cukor Zrt. raised their rail transport commissions by 20% (compared to public road commissions), so Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt. is handling 80% of the orders.
