Salvatori invests £1.5m in fleet

Canterbury-based Salvatori has invested £1.5 million in expanding its fleet to meet growing demand. The company is part of Palletways and is in the process of taking over additional areas, ME and DA, doubling the number of pallets it will move through the network.

The new vehicles include eight DAF tractor units, 12 Dennison flatbed trailers, three Allport double deckers, three DAF 18 tonners and four DAF 12 tonners.

They will support the 100,000 plus pallets the company moves every year through its collection and delivery operations.

Phil Macey, group transport & operations director said: “ All the new vehicles are fitted with tracker systems provided by Big Change Apps, and all round camera systems provided by Vue, ensuring both public and driver safety on the road.”
