15pc profit boost for CitySprint

Operational profit (EBITDA) rose 15.4 per cent to £12.3 million at same day specialist CitySprint in the year to 31st December.

Revenue was up 11.4 per cent to £112.7 million.

The operator made six acquisitions during 2013. It said they had been integrated into the company’s network and contributed to overall growth in revenues during the period.

CEO Patrick Gallagher said: “We expect to achieve further organic growth during 2014 and we will continue with our programme of investment in technology and our people. CitySprint’s financial strength and strong growth in sales across our sectors all underpin the Board’s expectations of further profit growth in the current year alongside very good trading visibility for the business.”
