Trammel Crow plans Sheffield warehouse redevelopment
The new development will see the replacement of the existing building with a 367,151ft2 Grade A logistics facility.
Mike Forster, Head of UK Logistics at Trammell Crow, said: “We’re delighted to be breathing life into this site which has lain dormant for almost three years. There’s considerable demand for high quality storage and distribution units in and around the city of Sheffield and we’ve had positive support to date. We look forward to continuing to work with the Council as they consider our application.
“The Betafence site is the latest in our highly active, pan-European development programme as we look for sought-after logistics locations with excellent transport links. We are actively looking for further opportunities on brownfield and greenfield sites in strategic locations across Europe.”
Logistics Manager reported that Trammel Crow bought the site in October 2021.
It is the second scheme the company plans to develop in the UK. The first being the redevelopment of the former Arcadia distribution centre in Milton Keynes.
