Storage, picking and just-in-time delivery of goods are part of the service range; Handling of lithium-ion batteries for electric cars

Alfred Schuon GmbH is expanding its offer of value added services for companies from the automotive industry. The company takes over the goods from automotive suppliers and manufacturers, stores them, picks them on a daily basis and offers just-in-time delivery for production. In addition they supply the production site of a Stuttgart-based automotive manufacturer.

CEO Alexander Schuon says: „The Alfred Schuon GmbH roots in transport business. We offer customised logistics solutions tailored to the needs of our customers, and we intend to develop this business segment into another important pillar.“ The transport and logistics provider has more than 30,000 m² of variable logistics space in warehouses in the southern metropolitan area of Stuttgart and in Veszprém, Hungary.

At the Haiterbach location Schuon employees working at two warehouses in shifts take over goods from suppliers for an automotive supplier, check the quality, pick the goods on a daily basis and organise just-in-time delivery for the customer’s production. Also daily shuttles and the supply of another plant of this customer with night operations are among the services.

As one of few companies, the company specialises in the handling of lithium-ion technology. In accordance with the strictest fire safety and environmental regulations lithium-ion cells, modules and batteries for electric cars can be stored at the Empfingen warehouse.

Alfred Schuon GmbH is a freight forwarding and logistics company, specialising in jumbo transports, system transports and individual logistics concepts. 350 employees and 200 vehicles at its own locations in Germany, Italy and Hungary create added value in the form of competitive advantages for the customers. The origins of the company are at its headquarters in Haiterbach, Baden-Württemberg, with the range of operateions covering Europe.
