ABF expands Dual-System Network

ABF is expanding its Dual-System Network to the western one-third of the US, providing coast-to-coast coverage and increased shipment velocity to 95% of the lanes between major markets in the West.

ABF’s Dual-System Network provides regional service in tandem with the company’s long-haul service.

Called the Regional Performance Model (RPM), parallel regional and national service was first offered by ABF in 2006 along the eastern seaboard. The carrier expanded coverage to the eastern two-thirds of the US in 2007.

This latest expansion gives the network coast-to-coast coverage.

ABF’s operational procedures enable the company to deliver national long-haul and regional short-haul services simultaneously.

ABF provides guaranteed service for expedited or time-definite shipments via its TimeKeeper service.

Regional shipping, handled via the carrier’s RPM Network, provides next-day and second-day shipping.

The ABF system now stretches throughout North America, with local service centres serving all fifty states, Canada, Mexico, Guam, and Puerto Rico. Globally, the carrier serves 250 ports in more than 130 countries.
