ACG Air Cargo Germany launches flights to Jo’burg

Last weekend saw ACG Air Cargo Germany’s first scheduled flight from Hahn Airport arrive at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport in South Africa.

The new route will be served twice a week.

Since a fully-loaded B747-400F is unable to operate non-stop between Hahn and OR Tambo, the aircraft will refuel in Tripoli on the outbound trip and at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on the return trip.

According to the airline’s CEO Michael Bock, a number of logistics providers have signed binding blocked space agreements, for both south- and northbound flights.

The remaining capacity will be marketed by Frankfurt-based GSA Sky Reps Aviation Services.
