Acquisition of K-EX makes Geis a full range provider in Poland

One source-service in Central Europe: Geis Group now runs a comprehensive parcel network in Poland as well trough acquisition of K-EX

The international Geis Group is significantly expanding its network in Poland: the logistics service provider acquired 100 per cent of the shares in K-EX Sp. z o.o., subject to the approval by the competitive authorities. Both parties have agreed not to reveal the purchase price. Being one of Poland’s major parcel and courier service providers K-EX provdides nationwide parcel services for business and private customers, offering a regular transport time of 24 hours. About 750 employees and about 1,000 delivery vehicles are active across the country.

Apart from the central throughput facility in Mościska, north-west of Warsaw, K-EX can access a gapless network of 27 more locations in Poland. The company headquarters are located in Kielce.

After this takeover Geis ranges among the leading logistics providers of the country: the transport and logistics network in Poland now covers a total of 45 locations and more than 1,200 employees. “In Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia we offer customers continuous parcel, forwarding and logistics solutions“, explains Joachim Fink, Managing Director Geis Holding.

Through Geis Parcel CZ and Geis Parcel SK, the Geis Group is operating nationwide parcel networks in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, respectively. “Now we can also offer parcel services in Poland thanks to the acquisition of K-EX“, says Michal Martinovič, responsible for the Geis Group in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
