Agility Chile Receives ISO 9001:2008 certification
Agility has announced it has acquired ISO 9001:2008 certification in Chile.
The certification applies to Agility Chile’s central and airport office locations in Santiago.
Obtaining ISO 9001:2008 certification in Chile was a priority for Agility, as the company (in partnership with Transport Intelligence) recently recognized Chile as one of the top ten emerging markets for logistics in the 2012 Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index.
"Chile’s shipping connectivity, airport and customs efficiency, infrastructure strength and trade agreements with foreign markets make the country one of the world’s top emerging markets," said Michael Bible, Agility’s CEO for the Americas Region. "Our ISO 9001:2008 certification ensures that Agility’s customers can continue to leverage their Chile logistics operations to compete internationally."
