Air New Zealand Cargo ships rally cars for launch of 2012 Asia Pacific championship

Air New Zealand Cargo  has shipped the rally cars of reigning Asia Pacific champion, Alister McRae and team mate Per Gunnar (P-G) Andersson from London to Auckland for the inaugural round of this year’s FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship which launches with the Rally of  Whangarei  later this week.
 
The Proton cars were shipped from Heathrow to Auckland on behalf of freight forwarder Deilvered-on-Time and Proton Motorsport and were moved on the airline’s B777 service via LAX.  Weighing a total of 2650 kilos the cargo was moved on two pallets.
 
Finlay McArthur, Regional Cargo Manager UK & Europe for Air New Zealand says: "It was a pleasure to take care of these very valuable cars and deliver them to the consignee in Auckland both efficiently and on schedule".
