Alpin Spedition under the umbrella of Quehenberger Logistics

Under the leadership of Thomas Kogler, Quehenberger Logistics GmbH is working to develop a strong Tyrolean Competence Center for FTL and LTL services on the road. Therefore the company acquires “Alpin Spedition GmbH” based in Kirchbichl from its previous owner Christian Schoner, as of 1 January 2018, reads a press release dated 12 of December.

Over the past 12 years, Christian Schoner built up a successful company with passion together with his team. Mr Schoner decided to sell to Quehenberger for personal reasons. After a break, Mr. Schoner will be part of this team again.

“With a strong partner like Quehenberger, I do not need to worry about my legacy, because the owner-managed company also stands for continuity and service at the highest level, which will also allow my employees to develop positively,” says Christian Schoner.

For Quehenberger, the acquisition was an important step in the business development of the groupage and FTL segment and strengthen the market position in Tyrol, added Christian Fürstaller. The 16 Quehenberger employees of the Q Direct Team in Radfeld will move to the company building of Alpin Spedition in Kirchbichl in the first quarter of 2018.

Quehenberger Logistics is a holistically oriented logistics partner for industrial- and trading companies with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. The owner-operated, medium-sized company based in Straßwalchen near Salzburg employs 2,700 employees at 85 locations in 17 countries.
