Amazon mega shed completed in Leeds

Urban regeneration specialist Muse Developments has completed work on a huge new distribution facility at the Logic Leeds development.

Muse developed the 361,000 sq ft distribution unit, which was purchased last year by Aberdeen Standard Investments for ÂŁ60 million and subsequently built by contractor, Bowmer and Kirkland.

The logistics unit was pre-let to Amazon, although LM understands there is a non disclosure agreement in place preventing anyone from commenting on the deal.

However, job advertisements for warehouse operatives are being placed by specialist warehouse recruiter PMP Recruitment, as of 3 March 2020.

In a press release about the completion of the building James Scott, development director of Muse in Leeds, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in the scheme, as we deliver this goliath logistics and distribution centre to our global occupier on budget and on time, which is now ready for the tenant to fit out and occupy.

“We’ve worked extremely closely with both the occupier and ASI to successfully deliver this pre-let development..”

Existing occupiers at Logic Leeds include John Lewis, Amazon and Premier Farnell.

Carter Towler and Knight Frank are the joint agents for the scheme.
