Amazon to hire 2,000 people for its new UK fulfilment centre
Amazon will hire up to 2,000 employees to staff its new fulfilment centre in the UK, which is located in Stockton-on-Tees.
The facility is due to open in October 2023, the company said on Tuesday.
The news comes just a few months after the company announced it would be firing 9,000 of its employees, as well as ongoing strikes at the beginning of the year.
The company said 1,000 employees will be initially required before it adds more employees as activity within the facility gets busier.
