Annual eyefortransport 3PL Awards Shortlist Revealed – includes top European 3PLs

September 14th, 2012 – Antwerp, Belgium. The shortlist for this year’s eyefortransport European 3PL awards has been announced, based on the nominations by the members of the esteemed judging panel. The top 5-9 companies in each of ten categories have been announced as finalists. The voting now opens to shippers (3PL customers) ahead of next month’s announcement of the winners.

Each year the eyefortransport 3PL Awards aim to recognise those 3PLs that continuously deliver excellence in logistics operations and superior service to their customers.  The awards are decided on by 3PL customers – the manufacturers and retailers who depend upon and work with logistics service providers everyday – and run in both the European (October anually) and North American (June annually) regions.

The winners of the final round of customer voting will be announced and celebrated at a Gala Reception at the annual 3PL Summit & Chief Supply Chain Officer Forum – the major industry meeting place for 3PLs and 3PL users.  The Gala Awards Reception will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Antwerp in the evening of October 22nd, and will be attended by 280 executives, including the CEOs of many top 3PLs, and VP & SVP supply chains from major customers.

“It’s a very exciting year for the 3PL awards,” said Katharine O’Reilly, the Executive Director of eyefortransport.  “We have a strong pool of finalists, as chosen by our judging panel, including those in a new category for this year – reverse logistics.  We expect it to be a fight to the finish in many of the very competitive categories.”
