AsstrA Associated Traffic AG opens new office in Astana and expands infrastructure because of Expo 2017 there
 
The international transport and logistics provider AsstrA Associated Traffic AG opened a new office “AsstrA Almaty” in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan. The main functions and tasks of the employees at the new office will be acquisition, marketing and information gathering about social and economic tendencies of the region development, visit of expositions, conferences and other official events to establish contacts with potential consumers of transport and logistic services in the region.
 
The management sees great potential for development in this region. The international exposition Expo-2017, which will take place in September 2017 in Astana, was the main reason for the opening. The organizers plan to gather more than 5 million people from all over the world. Several large-scale building sites are planned, which will also require professional logistics solutions.
 
AsstrA Associated Traffic AG was established in 1993 in Zurich. The three subsidiaries AsstrA Forwarding AG, AsstrA Logistics AG and AsstrA Transport AG are specialising on individual transport and logistics services, documents and customs handling, import services as well as planning and implementation of complete supply chains. 800 emplyoees in eleven Asian and European countries generates sales of about EUR 200 million last year.
