Austrian Rail Cargo Operator closes Koper trade

Bavaria Express from Munich to Trieste to replace the Minga Shuttle (Munich-Koper) and Graz Koper Shuttle-trains from July

Rail Cargo operator announced the closure of two train operations in a letter to the customers. After thorough evaluation they decided to close the „Minga shuttle“ between Munich and Koper, and the shuttle service between Graz and Koper. The products will be closed from 30 June 2015, reads the letter.

Instead, the alternative link „Bavaria Express“ between Munich and Trieste will be available to customers of Rail Cargo Operator in the future. Three weekly round trips will be operated in a block train system from A to B. Also for the Koper route alternative routes will be provided.

Editor’s Note: Nontheless, the organisation of block trains on the route between the Cargo Center Graz (CCG) and Koper will remain available via the neutral booking platform of CCG.
