BA picks Menzies for newspaper distribution

British Airways has awarded a contract to Menzies Distribution involving the delivery of more than 530,000 publications a week to BA flight gates as well as First and Club lounges.

The operation will be handled by Menzies subsidiary Media On The Move. On a weekly basis, the Media On The Move team will manage distribution of more than 500,000 UK and international newspapers and over 30,000 magazines to BA.

At Heathrow, the contract will serve 74 BA branded gate stands across Terminals 5, A, B, C and T3, with publications supplied before the first flight departure each day.

A British Airways spokesperson said: “The Media On The Move team proved that they were dedicated to providing an outstanding service.
