Baltic Rail appoints Sales Agent in Hamburg
ASECO Container Services GmbH to represent container train-operator Baltic Rail in Northern Europe
Since 2 April 2012 Baltic Rail has a new agent in Northern Europe. ASECO Container Services GmbH will represent the railway enterprise from their offices in Hamburg and Bremen. "The appointment of ASECO to represent Baltic Rail in the region improves our connectivity with large international shipping lines and shippers in the major shipping centres. Baltic Rail’s capability and knowledge of container train and railroad operations will be better represented to customers seeking solutions for their inland transportation needs in Central and Eastern Europe", Stephen Archer, CEO commented on the arrangement.
Baltic Rail is a company within the Rail World Group, operating container trains and forwarding services. They are active in both European gauge (1435mm) and Russian gauge (1520 mm). Baltic Rail operates regular scheduled container trains in the North-South railway corridor between Poland, Czech, Austria and Slovenia. Since November 2011 they have been running the Koper – Vienna – Katowice train, a weekly regular scheduled container service.
