Vessel transport for Rosenberger Lipno Line

Passenger ship was “put ashore“; Transport on the road from the Danube to the Moldova barrier lake
 
The passenger vessel Adalbert Stifter started its spectacular journey on the road from Linz to the Moldova barrier lake in the Czech Republic on Tuesday 17 April 2012. The journey started by lifting the vessel of Rosenberger Lipno Line out of the Danube in Plesching and lifted with cranes to a transporter. The transporter with the vessel on it has a total length of 48 metres. Transport weight including low loader is 203 tonnes. The ship has a length of 31.5 metres, is 5.95 metres wide and has an empty weight of 85 tonnes.
 
The heavy haulage operation is carried out in cooperation with the three companies Johann Fellner GmbH, Spedition Kübler GmbH and the crane enterprise Prangl Gesellschaft m.b.H.. The time window for the precision work is one night and three days. To be able to master this logistic challenge, the transport from Linz-Plesching to the destination Frydava at the Moldova barrier lake is accompanied by four vehicles and up to 14 technical staff as well as 6 policemen. In total more than 70 persons are occupied with this transport.
