Bibby aquires powder tankers

Bibby Distribution has acquired five new powder tankers to “drive down the cost of transporting food and ingredients.”

The new tankers are to join the company’s 200-strong fleet.

“Our food and ingredient operations continue to grow rapidly, so by investing in additional custom-built tankers, our customers will benefit from even greater savings, flexibility and reliability,” said Vaughan Pendergest, business unit director, food and Ingredients, Bibby Distribution. “The design process has resulted in a tanker future-proofed for all loading and load-type scenarios, and means our ingredient transportation is at its most efficient.”
